In this detail-oriented role, you will dive deep into the design and testing of both new and existing high-performance routing algorithms. Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position.


Responsibilities



  • Develop automated tests that ensure the quality and functionality of the routing software and underlying street data

  • Maintain and monitor the results from the automated tests

  • Create, analyze, and report on large amounts of performance test results data via descriptive statistics and charting

  • Collaborate with development programmers to build new functionality for current and future routing capabilities

  • Research and analyze customer requests, industry standards, and specifications to establish and define requirements and translate them into new software design

  • Share workflows in the form of samples, tutorials, blog articles, videos, or help documentation


Requirements



  • 2+ years of experience writing code in Python

  • Good organizational skills and an ability to multitask and collaborate with others

  • Proven ability to analyze and solve problems in rigorous and innovative ways

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or a related field


Recommended Qualifications



  • Familiarity with routing algorithms

  • Experience with software testing

  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies

  • Familiarity with JavaScript

  • Familiarity with the Esri ArcGIS platform

$76,960$128,544 USD
