What We Need

ERMCO is seeking an IT Program Manager who will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of related projects within the distribution transformer industry, ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects. The ideal candidate has extensive program management experience, excellent leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset.  Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on IT program management experience within a manufacturing environment, but those with a proven track record of formal project/program management delivery are encouraged to apply.  Join a team where project management expertise directly impacts productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

 

This role can be remote in the following states: FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • As a PMO representative, oversee multiple projects within a program or functional area to ensure cohesive delivery aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage program governance, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Lead program planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify dependencies and manage risks across projects.
  • Engage senior stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement industry standards.
  • Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the PMO, IT department, and with others to ensure that best practices are shared throughout the organization.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to all IT and organizational policy, processes, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer concerns a priority.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

 

Required Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in project and program management.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is required.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences; listen actively and ask clarifying questions.
  • Collaborate across functions and locations, build trust, and contribute to team success.
  • Demonstrate a customer service mindset—anticipates needs, responds promptly, and follows through.
  • Take ownership of outcomes; meet commitments with integrity and a safety-first approach.
  • Solve complex problems with facts and structured thinking.
  • Adapts to change, learn quickly, and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to all IT and organizational policy, processes, and procedures.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage work within complex, multi-project environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software (MS Project, Jira, etc.).
  • Understand project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
