As part of our continued growth, ERM has an exciting & career defining opportunity as a leader to join our global consulting firm as a consultant, focused on Project Planning and Approvals within the renewables industry, based in Perth, Western Australia

This role includes, but is not limited to, delivering high quality technical services and further advancing our reputation for the management and delivery of capital projects for our clients.

Responsibilities

Primary focus on supporting our clients in environmental approvals and impact assessments for renewable energy sector clients.

  • Deliver and lead environmental assessments for renewable projects, and related approvals management in support of capital project delivery.
  • Support the growth and development of ERM’s Capital Project Delivery service area and actively collaborate with colleagues across the nation and globe.
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to build ERM’s business, as well as to lead client and technical teams.
  • Drive innovation within the technical community to stay ahead of client needs and to help differentiate ERM in the market.
  • Meet overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction / expectations, and internal and contract requirements.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

  • Demonstrated wind, solar and/or BESS WA State and Federal approval experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications; 
  • 10+ years of environmental planning and approvals, impact assessment, working within WA and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
  • Technical competence in environmental planning and approvals, due diligence, post approval management and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices.
  • Understanding of key impact assessment and management issues within the renewable sector. 
  • Solid experience building and sustaining relationships with major clients.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia 
  • In-depth understanding of Project Approvals challenges including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
