About this role

Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager supports all divisions of the entire EHS enterprise in the 'key areas of responsibility' (KAR) listed below. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing large scale, enterprise-wide projects, embodies & advocates best practices, methodologies, standards, and artifacts identified by our profession. The Senior Project Manager takes projects from original concept through final implementation.

The Senior Project Manager works with little to no supervision, exercising appropriate judgment & operational considerations. They support all aspects of the development & implementation of assigned projects and provide a single point of contact for their projects. The Senior Project Manager must be professional, thorough, attentive to detail, and organized. Punctuality is a must.

The Senior Project Manager must be strong in communicating (both in writing and orally), as their responsibilities require them to communicate clearly & often. They must drive & facilitate efforts required from technical teams, vendors, and operations to ensure IT deliverables & business needs are met.

At times the Senior Project Manager must function as a business-analyst, systems-analyst, or workflow-analyst and in this role may be called upon to perform data-collection & root cause analysis of barriers to success, and offering potential solutions to stakeholders.

The Senior Project Manager must collaborate congenially with other executives, business/functional managers, project-managers, analysts, business units, and be able to model for & mentor to junior project managers. The Senior Project Manager might also be a subject matter expert on specific technologies, business processes, or systems.

The Senior Project Manager reports to a IT Program Manager & frequently works work with all levels of staff in the organization, including managers, directors, and C-level executives - -- and must be collaborative and must sense `ownership' of those projects assigned. Workload and deadline pressure will regularly subject incumbent to moderate to high job-related stress. They attain necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned as needed/requested. Days and hours worked may be variable.

Required:
1. High School Diploma (linked to experience requirement below)

2. Associate's Degree (linked to experience requirement below)
OR
3. Bachelor's Degree (linked to experience requirement below)

11 years' experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare, IT, and/or Project Management with High School Diploma.
OR
9 years' experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare, IT, and/or Project Management with Associate�s Degree
OR
7 years' experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare, IT, and/or Project Management with Bachelor's Degree

AND
An understanding of information technology and healthcare is necessary.

Preferred:

Valid Driver's Licenses
Complete education, pass, and maintain certification in Project Management Program (PMP)

Position Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):

1. KAR: Project Initiation %25 of Time: 10
The above is accomplished by the following (order does not indicate importance):

1.1 Reviews and stays informed regarding any relevant Statements of Work, Contracts, Business Cases, Agreements, etc.
1.2 Adheres to and promotes project sequencing and appropriate governance required of all project requests.
1.3 Develops project charters and other required artifacts (i.e., Project Profiles, Budgets, Work Effort Estimates, and Future Dataflow).
1.4 Identifies project stakeholders and creates stakeholder registers.
1.5 Performs any relevant or necessary analysis of processes, workflows, systems, etc.
1.6 Facilitates project kick-off meetings.

2. KAR: Project Planning %25 of Time: 20
The above is accomplished by the following (order does not indicate importance):

2.1 Interviews stakeholders to ascertain project requirements and scope.
2.2 Develops project management plans to include scope, scheduling, and sequencing activities.
2.3 Creates work breakdown structures (WBS).
2.4 Reviews application specifications and system designs enabling the respective stakeholders to make suggestions regarding each project phase.
2.5 Helps create various types of budgets (for each stage of the project lifecycle); collects components relevant to such.
2.6 Creates checklists and registers of various sorts and develops test plans with the appropriate resources.
2.7 Develops communication plans customized to each project & audience.
2.8 Assesses risk by performing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, identifies risks, and plans risk responses.
2.9 Supports procurement management and processes.

3. KAR: Project Executing %25 of Time: 15
The above is accomplished by the following (order does not indicate importance):

3.1 Acquires, develops, and manages project teams.
3.2 Communicates to project teams and stakeholders so they fully understand all facets (scope, tasks, schedule, risks, etc.) of the project.
3.3 Directs and manages project work - - - ensuring IT deliverables & business objectives are successfully achieved.
3.4 Manages communications at various levels and to various audiences.
3.5 Assists with necessary procurements.
3.6 Manages stakeholder engagement and address problem/issue/crisis resolution.
3.7 Collaboratively orchestrates the project team�s work and task management.
3.8 Escalates issues or barriers to success to senior leadership as appropriate.
