ELS is hiring for the position of Accountant - Membership in Plano, Texas.What you’ll do:
The Membership Accountant monitors the daily activities associated with a portfolio of membership accounts.
Your job will include:
Review membership financial statements, record journal entries, reconcile accounts and analyze variances compared to forecasts and budgets.
Maintain general ledgers, analyze transactions and adjust entries as necessary.
Reconcile complex bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
Examine and upload various subsystems into the general ledger.
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual schedules to support required financial statements.
Gather records for internal and external audits.
Experience & skills you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting environment for a large real estate and/or property management company.
Knowledge of GAAP and other sources of authoritative guidance.
Excellent analytical skills and expertise in Microsoft Office and other relevant accounting software programs.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion and meet deadlines.
