Forge & Build is hiring a Retail Sales Associate at our rental facility in Sandusky, MI, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.


Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (On call during the weekend only in special circumstances)


Primary Responsibilities



  • Associate will assist in the receiving, stocking, cleaning, merchandising and overall store cleanliness

  • Maintain a friendly helpful attitude 

  • Assist customers in solving their problems

  • Maintain a positive, professional and safe environment at all times

  • Assist in keeping the sales floor clean and orderly, including signage and bintags

  • Maintain strong product knowledge

  • Provide outstanding customer service

Skills & Qualifications


Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Former retail or trade (ex: building, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) experience preferred

  • Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs) and climbing required

  • Inherent desire to learn and develop on an individual basis

  • Strive for continuous improvement
