The Clinic Laboratory Technician performs a wide variety of laboratory analyses by methodologies that vary from basic and moderately complex according to established standards and procedures in order to obtain valid data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Utilizes and maintains high technology, scientific equipment and recognizes and resolves testing problems and invalid or inconsistent test data. Collects laboratory specimens by venipuncture and capillary puncture for subsequent testing and collects throat culture specimens. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. Exhibit the values of F.I.R.S.T. (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
One to three years laboratory experience preferred with proven competency skills. Computer skills, medical terminology required.
