Description
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Therapist is a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing therapy and community support groups (skill building) to persons with severe and persistent mental illness within the Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PSR) Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete intake assessments for potential PSR clients and determine if they are appropriate/meet criteria for PSR program.
- Complete the following primary responsibilities for caseload of 10 – 20 clients.
- IM+CANS assessment every 180 days
- LOCUS assessment every 180 days
- Monthly Summary
- Annual Consent Forms
- Provide individual therapy services.
- Facilitate PSR groups.
- Facilitate groups in the community at least 2x per week (this includes driving 10 passenger van).
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed, including, but limited to emergency psychiatric hospitalization.
- Completing appropriate clinical documentation.
- Communicating with the client’s treatment team regarding services provided.
- Demonstrate sound clinical and ethical practices.
- Utilize a variety of resources to prepare and submit curriculums for group sessions in accordance with department expectations and timelines.
- Perform duties and functions in accordance with all agency policies.
- Supervision of student interns.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Position requires a master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related human services field with at least one year of experience (including internships) working in social services.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license or state ID, be approved to drive agency vehicles through agency insurance, pass a criminal background check.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate and develop curriculums and lesson plans for recovery-based groups as well as document client’s progress.
- Must be able to set and maintain professional boundaries, adapt to changing needs of the program, and provide de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
