The Role:

Entegris is seeking a Payroll Co‑Op to join our HR Operations team. This position offers hands‑on experience in payroll administration within a fast‑paced global organization. The Payroll Co‑op will support routine payroll activities, learn core HR and payroll systems, assist with data accuracy and compliance requirements, and collaborate with HR Operations team members to ensure a seamless and positive employee experience. This is a 6‑month co‑op assignment, with the requirement that candidates are available and willing to extend the assignment or convert to a full‑time role following the initial term.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including data entry, time & attendance updates, and employee information changes.
  • Assist with reviewing weekly and biweekly timecards for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
  • Help maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Perform basic payroll data validation and reconciliation tasks using established procedures.
  • Support the team with reporting pulls, tracking metrics, and preparing payroll‑related documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations team members to troubleshoot routine payroll issues under close guidance.
  • Maintain high confidentiality and data integrity while working with sensitive employee information.
  • Gain exposure to payroll compliance, regulatory requirements, and system workflows.

What We Seek:

  • Willingness to learn payroll processes, HR systems, and policy requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort following structured procedures.
  • Ability to work with numbers accurately and maintain data integrity.
  • Strong technical skills and advanced excel ability
  • Curiosity and interest in understanding how payroll interacts with HR, Finance, and timekeeping systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and ask questions when further clarity is needed.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Coursework in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of payroll concepts, labor regulations, or time & attendance systems (or interest in learning).
  • Strong Excel or reporting skills, or interest in developing them.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across the HR Operations team.
  • Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and adherence to commitments.

Eligibility

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Must be available to commit to a minimum 6‑month assignment (at least 30 hours/week, Monday–Friday) and must be available and willing to extend the assignment or transition to a full‑time role after the initial 6‑month term.

Compensation: $22-$27 hourly range with actual pay dependent on graduation year and candidate skillset.
