ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Gummy Line Operator at Hybrid Confections is responsible for running the starch-less mogul to produce the highest quality gummies possible. The position requires gummy line start up, continual operation, adjustments, preventative maintenance, clean up/sanitation, boiler inspection, chilled water inspection, compressed air inspection, raw material ordering, troubleshooting, gummy line shutdown, system Clean In Place (hereinafter, CIP), quality assurance, GMP compliance. Must also be able to run the cooling rooms, de-molder, de-oiler, and sander. Auxiliary responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining a safe environment, metal detection, bag weight verification, and maintaining area cleanliness and sanitation.

Other duties to support the full range of activities of the company may include processing shipping labels, light maintenance duties, and other duties as assigned.

An Operator position is a vital, trusted and valued member of our work force. An operator should make every effort to produce the highest quality product and work to the highest standards. The quality, efficient, clean, safe operation of the gummy line is the Operators responsibility. All efforts should be made by an operator to ensure the gummy line is running at a high standard even in their absence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. Gummy Line Process includes ensuring quality of the gummies throughout the entire process with pre-established guidelines. Includes but not limited to raw material quality, gummy quality, piece weights, piece dimensions, sensory and visual quality.
2. Start up, operation, shut down and CIP of entire system.
3. Ordering raw materials as needed for efficient operation.
4. Preventive maintenance either in the form of Maintenance WOs or work performed by the operator.
5. A very good working understanding of the engineering, maintenance and quality functions of the line.
6. Initiate emergency repairs as needed for efficient operation.
7. Communication with supervisor, operators and others as needed to ensure efficient operation.
8. Active involvement in continued improvement in operation and quality.
9. Training operators as needed.
10. Provide a positive example thru leadership qualities.
11. Ensuring a clean, sanitary and safe work environment.
12. Shared responsibility and participation in GMPs.
13. Shared responsibility of maintaining HACCP compliance.
14. Overtime as required.
15. Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum behavioral requirements: must work well within a team environment; must maintain a positive attitude on the job, must arrive at work station as scheduled, stay at work station as assigned and attend work as scheduled including overtime as needed.
2. Minimum Physical requirements:  stand for the majority of the day, use repeated wrist motions without distress, high level of manual dexterity required; lift and carry up to 55 lbs; bend, stoop, climb ladders and kneel; push approximately 500 lbs on carts; follow directions and safety procedures;
