Your main responsibilities 

  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules;
  • Responsible for project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analysis for engineering studies for deep and shallow foundations (static, seismic and dynamic machine loadings);
  • Infrastructure (new and replacements, including sewer and watermains, pipelines, telecommunication towers, highways, bridges, railways);
  • Slope and earth structure stability, tailings dams, hydrogeology studies, stormwater control facilities, in-situ testing;
  • Instrumentation, construction inspection and laboratory testing;
  • You will also play a key role on the engineering team providing leadership and mentoring of the team members;
  • Prepare Technical proposals and write engineering reports;
  • Business Development, client liaison and management.

 

What makes you unique

  • University degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering;
  • Completion of advanced or specialized university courses in geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering (Masters’ degree an asset);
  • 6+ years of solid Geotechnical engineering experience;
  • Experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities (asset);
  • Current registration with MTO's RAQs for foundations and/or tunneling disciplines an asset;
  • Registration with PEO;
  • Fluent English, written and spoken;
  • Demonstrated ability that you are well organized, show initiative and can manage a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.

The salary range for this position is 83,604$ to 109,730$ CAD base per annum, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. This range represents a realistic and good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.

 

Compensation may also include a comprehensive benefits package, performance incentives, or bonus eligibility depending on role level and business unit. We aim to foster transparency, respect candidate time and ensure equitable compensation aligned with our company values.
