Our school delivers the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in years 7 to 9, the (I)GCSE/ BTEC in years 10 and 11, after which our students progress to study either the IB Diploma Programme or the more vocationally oriented BTEC applied learning program in years 12 and 13.

The position will be a full-time two-year finite contract from August 2026 to August 2028, with the possibility of renewal.

The successful candidate would join a dynamic and vibrant team of educators focused on developing students' skills and passions through the study of Drama.

Requirements

  • To hold a Bachelor's Degree in Drama or similar, plus a recognised Postgraduate teaching qualification, or equivalent;
  • The ability to teach MYP, BTEC and IBDP level Drama.
  • Experience and ability to use data on student learning to modify curriculum, teaching and assessment provision;
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents;
  • The ability to engage in and contribute towards the Drama Department Professional Learning Team collaboration, which is focused on improving student learning.
  • The drive to monitor the impact of teaching strategies through collaborative enquiry and data-informed conversations
  • The ability to lead or support extra-curricular activities as part of the whole-school CAS programme, including leading and contributing to events such as School Productions, Performances and Musicals.
  • The ability to teach a diverse range of students with special educational needs would be an advantage.
