This is a high-impact opportunity to build scalable infrastructure that integrates multiple data sources into unified, accessible views. Over the next few months, the focus will be on migrating data pipelines to a modern architecture, improving governance, and enabling better internal data sharing. We’re looking for a strategic leader with deep experience in tools like Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte, who can guide both the technical direction and the growth of a high-performing team.</em></p>

<li><strong>Lead a high-performing data engineering team</strong> by driving collaboration, growth, and accountability. Set clear goals, provide strategic direction, and develop talent to ensure long-term success.</li>
<li><strong>Manage and streamline team operations</strong>, bringing a deep understanding of data engineering challenges and optimizing workflows.</li>
<li><strong>Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle</strong> of data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and technical excellence.</li>
<li><strong>Implement and refine engineering best practices</strong> using agile methodologies while continuously improving workflows, tools, and processes.</li>
<li><strong>Act as a bridge between engineering and other teams</strong>, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for business stakeholders.</li>
<li><strong>Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies</strong>, integrating innovative solutions that enhance data infrastructure, scalability, and performance.</li>

<p><strong>What You’ll Bring to Engine:</strong><strong><br></strong>We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Experience:</strong> 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role. Proven track record of successfully leading data engineering teams and delivering complex projects.</li>
<li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong> Deep knowledge of data engineering, preferably with experience in <strong>Snowflake, Airflow, and data visualization tools</strong> such as <strong>Looker, Tableau, and Domo</strong>. Strong understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL processes.</li>
<li><strong>Leadership & Performance Management:</strong> Ability to manage and scale a team in a <strong>fast-paced, high-growth</strong> environment. Proven experience in performance management, mentorship, and career development.</li>
<li><strong>Problem-Solving & Communication:</strong> Strong analytical thinking with excellent decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).</li>
<li><strong>Mindset:</strong> A strategic and results-driven approach to engineering and team leadership. Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.</li>

In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE).
