Summary:

The Project Manager position, within the Engineering & Construction (E&C) team, will collaborate with Engineers and Directors to deliver and execute projects. This includes cost management, planning and scheduling, risk management, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all aspects of projects from concept to completion.
  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned scope of work.
  • Support Directors and Management requests for front-end development of the milestone schedule and capital spend curve to support project funding packages.
  • Work with the project team to develop project-specific execution plans for project controls, contract management, and overall project execution.
  • Project Manager is responsible for pipeline projects and will manage these capital growth projects and/or other operations or commercial-derived projects meeting project scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
  •  Implement entire project cycle for growth capital projects including: scope and design development, AFE preparation and submittals, material procurement, execution and construction oversite, commissioning, and project completion.
  • Work with project contractors to ensure they meet their contract deliverables, that progress reporting is timely and accurate, and that all changes are properly documented.
  • Update and maintain project schedules and provide variance analyses to the project team.  
  • Provide support during the development of construction agreements.
  •  Work with (and guide) the Construction Group members in construction and inspection activities.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders including operations personnel, cost controls, project controls, project planning, and contractors for project implementation.
  • Responsible for technical review of designs, drawings, and studies.
  •  Ensure work complies with federal, state, and local regulations (including safety, environmental, and DOT) and internal policies and procedures.
  •  Work with facilities planning engineering group to develop projects that follow engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.
  •  Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen project management knowledge base and proficiencies.
  • Ability to take minimal direction and run down an objective to completion.


Required Skills 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Project Management certification or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of direct work experience maintaining a safe work environment per company, state, and federal guidelines. Managing project accounting/forecasting
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to successfully and simultaneously manage multiple high-priority tasks and work with minimal direct supervision while staying on schedule and within budget constraints
  • The requirement to carry a company-provided cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurer.
  • Must be able to work in, interact and balance a corrupt office environment and field operations while maintaining professionalism, courtesy, and tact.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office working conditions or at the project site.
  •  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%25 of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  •  Overnight travel is required when necessary to manage projects.
  •  Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions, and loud machinery and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
