Summary:

The Analyst - Settlements role is the bridge between our Marketing and Accounting divisions.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring contract allocation and performance, accurate invoicing of customers, completing month-end reconciliations, and communicating with customers and internal teams.  A successful candidate must have a solid understanding of accounting and strong customer service skills. Qualified candidates must be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic and work with minimal supervision. Attention to detail is very important. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enter and confirm all movement information into Right Angle for generation of invoices through order actualization.
  •      Confirm all transactions are valued and troubleshoot any valuations that did not process properly.
  •       Execute timely and accurate billing of external customers.
  •       Update and maintain posted prices in Right Angle.
  •       Resolve payable and receivable billing disputes and manage all unplanned fees. 
  •      Monitor individual and shared inboxes for internal and external inquiries.
  •      Act as customer service representative and provide support to internal and external customers.
  •       Complete various month-end processes and reconciliations
  •       Review and validate data for monthly P&L Statement
  •       Cross-train with others on the Analyst team to be available and flexible to assist in areas as needed for complete coverage of duties.
  •       Be proactive in communicating with customers, Marketers and Schedulers, Cash Management team, and other members of the Analyst  team.
  •        Be able to perform extremely well during highly stressful and volatile market environments.
  •       Take initiative to solve problems with minimal interaction needed from other teams.
  •       Review work processes to identify more efficient means to complete Analyst responsibilities.


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

·         Degree in Accounting/Finance or related business field 

·         Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Excel skills 

·         Openlink Right Angle experience is a plus. 

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Working Conditions:

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%25 of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
