Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior security engineers to design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect our organization's assets. This role requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, hands-on experience with various security tools, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions, including EDR, XDR, MDR, Vulnerability Management, PAM, AM, DLP, SIEM, UEBA, WAAP, DDOS, WAF, IDS, and IPS
- Monitor and analyze security event logs and incident response activities
- Support vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks
- Participate in security project planning, implementation, and testing
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of cybersecurity experience, with strong expertise in at least two security areas/products
- Hands-on experience with two or more of the following cybersecurity tools/areas:
- EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response)
- XDR (Extended Detection and Response)
- MDR (Managed Detection and Response)
- Vulnerability Management
- PAM (Privileged Access Management)
- AM (Access Management)
- DLP (Data Loss Prevention)
- SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)
- UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics)
- WAAP (Web Application Attack Protection)
- DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service)
- WAF (Web Application Firewall)
- IDS (Intrusion Detection System)
- IPS (Intrusion Prevention System)
- Strong understanding of security fundamentals, including threat analysis, risk management, and compliance
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
