We are looking for an Engineer in Training II - Project Management Pipeline. The focus of this position is to continue to learn, develop and take on increasingly challenging assignments in order to further develop knowledge/experience/expertise of the enterprise, engineering tasks, methods, practices and disciplines, e.g., providing project  management support throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction and start-up stages of the project lifecycle.

Please Note - We are currently looking to fill 2 full time permanent positions.

What You Will Do:

  • Function as Junior Project manager supporting Senior Project Managers during planning and execution of a large diameter pipeline project with strong focus on safety and regulatory/environmental compliance.

  • Provide technical advice related to a specific area of expertise and/or a broad area of engineering.

  • Oversee assigned discipline specific project costs, schedule and scope.

  • Provide bi-weekly reports of the status of the project to the manage and construction detailing safety, outlining progress, changes and site issues

  • Manage stakeholders during pipeline design, construction, commissioning and close-out.

  • Facilitate communication to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Provide input in the tender, analysis and award of engineering and construction contracts.

  • Provide project field support on site during construction and commissioning activities.

  • Work with the project controls team to ensure forecasting is in places for assigned scope.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting on all construction aspects of the project including; (cost, schedule, forecast, risk, etc…).

  • Work closely with the assigned contracts administrator and Construction/Site Coordinators to ensure approved field change management process is implemented during construction to include Field Change Notices (FCN), Design Change Notice (DCN), Change Orders (CO) and Request for Information (RFI).

  • Review contractor schedules. This includes “look ahead scheduling” with the contractor to ensure overall project schedules are met.

  • Coordinate project change orders (PCO) and Technical standard deviation requests (TSDR).

Who You Are:

  • Engineering degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in pipeline engineering, construction or project management.

  • Aptitude and communications skills related to learning and developing in a variety of entry level assignments.

  • Commitment to continuous technical learning and personal development.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Project planning and project management skills are an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment during project planning and close out with occasional travel to field worksite locations, may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Field based in British Columbia during pipeline construction. Travel to British Columbia during the summer 2026 and 2027 would be required.

  • Short overnight business trips may be required as part of training
