We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you’ll keep our heavy equipment running safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. If you’re hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability

  • Respond to and repair equipment breakdowns in a timely manner

  • Inspect, test, diagnose, dismantle, and reassemble machinery and equipment

  • Install new or repaired parts, machinery, and equipment

  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed

  • Fuel and lubricate equipment

  • Operate a variety of equipment to complete repairs

  • Maintain company tools and equipment assigned to you

  • Communicate equipment conditions, repairs, and parts needs to the supervisor

  • Follow all safety regulations (PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, etc.)

  • Assist with general facility cleanup

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team

  • Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Comfortable working overhead, climbing ladders, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)

  • Able to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced or stressful situations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience

  • Experience repairing heavy machinery, trucks, or metal processing equipment

  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems

  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Personal protective equipment is required

  • Schedule may include evenings or weekends as needed

  • Light lifting and carrying may be required
