Developers play a significant role on our engineering team, developing the user facing applications for our company’s websites, functional and mobile web applications. Developers collaborate openly in an Agile development environment with other members of engineering and user experience teams, including Architects, QA, User interaction & User interface designers, as well as Project Managers. They participate in our application development processes by establishing and documenting development standards and common components for common usage across all of our web applications. Java Spring Boot developers are responsible for building services to support our websites and JavaScript applications that are maintainable, performant and meet business requirements and project goals while lining up with future strategic visions.
Qualifications:
University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education
Experience with 3 to 5 years of industry experience.
Proven experience as a Java Developer, with expertise in Spring Boot.
Utilizes modular architectures, next-generation integration techniques, and a cloud-first, mobile-first mindset.
Expertise in the deployment and hosting of Spring Boot services in an AWS containerized environment.
Experience building micro-services for JavaScript Single Page Applications
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle in project.
Implement and code business or functional requirements translated in technical documents.
Experience developing and documenting best practises, and training developers
Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
Ensure designs follow specifications and project custom framework standard.
Prepare and produce releases of software components.
Define code standard.
Shown and define best practices and approach.
Perform code review (PR review), code quality check and improvement.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Provide guidance to junior developers.
Comprehensive understanding of MongoDB and good working knowledge of other NoSQL and SQL databases
A solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them
Demonstrated experience in incorporating reliable unit and end-to-end testing
Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline for cloud, incl. Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, GitLab, etc.
Some experience working in an agile environment using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
