Description

The Division of Advancement and Alumni Engagement utilizes resources, technology, and business for the purpose of constituent engagement, donor research, solicitation, and stewardship throughout Emory University and Health Systems. We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Portfolio Management.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in preparing data and reports for regularly scheduled portfolio review meetings with development and engagement officers.
  • Serves as team liaison to a defined group of engagement officers and leads strategic portfolio review meetings, including quantitative and qualitative analysis of prospect portfolios while ensuring portfolios are filled according to portfolio management guidelines with the most appropriate prospects.
  • Leads the review and approval process, in partnership with relationship manager and supervisors, for removing prospects from portfolios.
  • Partners with Partners with Prospect Development and Stewardship staff to provide regular portfolio updates and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Synthesizes and analyzes prospect data, conducts and reviews audits, and monitors data integrity for the purpose of improving the quality of the prospect-specific data.
  • Performs related duties as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • This position requires coming in person two days a week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience in fundraising, information systems and/or fundraising systems, prospect management systems, or database coordination, OR an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, the ability to work with ambiguity, and navigate a complex work environment.
  • Successful candidates will possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively to achieve goals, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working with various technologies, including knowledge and experience with project management software, data analysis tools, and CRM systems.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Prior experience in advancement, fundraising, alumni engagement, non-profit, or a university setting.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines. 

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
