This role plays a critical part in promoting occupational safety, preventing workplace incidents, and reinforcing a strong safety culture on the shop floor and beyond.</p> <p data-start="643" data-end="926">The Safety Representative partners closely with the Talent Development Lead to integrate safety into onboarding, skills development, and ongoing training—ensuring safety expectations are clearly understood, consistently reinforced, and embedded into how work gets done every day.</p> <p data-start="928" data-end="1106">This role balances education, compliance, investigation, and continuous improvement while working closely with department leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.</p> <h4 data-start="1113" data-end="1140"><strong data-start="1116" data-end="1140">Key Accountabilities:</strong></h4> <p data-start="1142" data-end="1197"><em>Safety Program Implementation &amp; Workforce Education</em></p> <ul data-start="1198" data-end="1689"> <li data-start="1198" data-end="1293"> <p data-start="1200" data-end="1293">Implement and support company safety programs, policies, and procedures across the facility</p> </li> <li data-start="1294" data-end="1432"> <p data-start="1296" data-end="1432">Partner with the Talent Development Lead to embed safety training into onboarding, refresher training, and skills development programs</p> </li> <li data-start="1433" data-end="1517"> <p data-start="1435" data-end="1517">Develop and deploy safety training materials, signage, and educational resources</p> </li> <li data-start="1518" data-end="1597"> <p data-start="1520" data-end="1597">Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions</p> </li> <li data-start="1598" data-end="1689"> <p data-start="1600" data-end="1689">Promote awareness of safety expectations and best practices throughout the organization</p> </li> </ul> <p data-start="1691" data-end="1738"><em>Inspections, Audits &amp;
