About this role

If you are a MES Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Resident Engineer that will provide installation, commissioning, start-up, and technical support for Emerson systems at our customer site in Udine area. 

You will work closely with a team of resident engineers to ensure high-quality service and support for the MES system (DeltaV Syncade) installed at the customer’s facility. This role offers the chance to develop expertise in Syncade modules while contributing to innovative solutions in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support and take ownership of selected areas of the overall MES solution as part of a collaborative team.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of complex MES (Syncade) solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Contribute to functional design development and create detailed design and test documentation for validated environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process systems, providing timely technical support.
  • Configure and manage applications, ensuring compliance with Emerson quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Lead Engineer and team members to ensure progress and scope alignment.
  • Deliver emergency call-out services when required, maintaining responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Provide customer training and mentorship to support system adoption and success.
  • Adhere to Emerson’s and customer HSEQ standards and Trade Compliance procedures at all times.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A technical background in engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, computer science, or control systems (minimum technical college level).
  • Knowledge of MES systems, preferably Syncade.
  • Experience in process industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, or oil & gas.
  • Strong communication skills in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (preferably DeltaV), process automation instrumentation, networking, and Windows platforms.
  • Willingness to work non-office hours and perform call-out services when needed.
  • A valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Syncade certification in multiple modules.
  • Experience integrating MES with systems such as LIMS or ERP.
  • Previous involvement in validated environments and documentation standards.
  • Ability to work offshore if required.
