About this role

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Work with multi-functional engineering teams to support product development and iterative design improvements.

Optimally connect with CAD users at different global locations to promote partnership and alignment.

Demonstrate a collaborative and proactive approach—working independently or as part of a team, both within and beyond the business unit.

Engage in daily communication with Global CAD teams to ensure design consistency and project alignment.

Chip in to key projects and initiatives that support the business unit's goals and strategic objectives.

Design and layout components including sliding stem valves, trim elements, and actuation systems.

Build 3D product renderings and visualizations of varying complexity to support engineering and marketing efforts.

Assist in the design of products in accordance with internal standards, procedures, and engineering guidelines.

Develop 3D models and detailed drawings following ASME Y14.5 GD&T (2009) standards.

Originate and support the completion of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed.

Set up and maintain part numbers and other crucial engineering documentation within relevant systems.

Apply strong communication, partnership, and interpersonal skills to ensure project quality and timely delivery.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is helpful.

Shown experience in CAD design, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in parametric modeling software—SolidWorks and PDM Pro experience strongly preferred.

Strong digital literacy and comfort using general computer applications.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the use of Excel formulas for technical calculations.

Proven understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and related symbology.

Familiarity with manufacturing-related processes such as supply chain, production, and quality assurance.

Ability to generate 2D drawings that follow ASME Y14.5 standards, including view placement, projection, and dimensional accuracy.

Ability to:

Build, load, and store 3D models from 2D sketches or drawings.

Build and maintain 3D CAD assemblies and part models.

Use 3D models to evaluate physical properties like mass, volume, area, and center of gravity.

General understanding of materials properties (especially metals).

Familiarity with casting, forging, and stamping processes.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Experience with specialized SolidWorks modules such as Simulation, Composer, DriveWorks, and SolidWorks PDM.

Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) certification or willingness to pursue.
