We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team based in Porsgrunn or our other offices in Stavanger, Bergen or Oslo. 
The Reliability Solutions Account Manager’s primary responsibilities is to actively prospect, evaluate, develop, drive and secure the sales of automation solutions within the industrial sectors throughout Norway, with a focus in the reliability and asset management domain. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of industrial automation technologies and the local market, as well as a proven ability to manage accounts, build relationships, and successfully navigate complex sales cycles.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Implement and continuously improve the local the Reliability Solutions sales strategy and tactics throughout the agreed region, developing the business leveraging Emerson’s product portfolio
  • Identify and prospect, develop, drive, and close sales opportunities
  • Own the allocated order budget throughout each fiscal year
  • Account management for assigned customers
  • Actively collaborate with the local and European sales team to support market growth across the Nordic region

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Process industry fluency and application knowledge is mandatory
  • A minimum of three years experience in direct selling in a complex technical and commercial sales environment
  • Degree level in Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Good communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing – Norwegian as well as English fluency required
  • Experience of developing successful relationships internally and externally, cross functionally, within a matrix organization
  • Ability and willingness to travel (domestically) in order to fulfil duties of the role, expected 25% of time

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

  • IT system connectivity and networking knowledge will be a plus. 
  • Demonstrated impact in past roles: concrete metrics showing revenue growth, margin improvements, or market expansion driven by their initiatives.
  • Deep industry fluency: proven ability to translate complex process-technical concepts into actionable solutions for clients, with examples from similar sectors.
  • Strategic networking and relationship capital: a track record of building partnerships that unlock new opportunities.
