The School of Business is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach aviation-related courses for business students starting in Fall 2025. This position focuses on integrating aviation management principles with business education, fostering hands-on learning activities that encourages critical thinking and practical application in courses such as Introduction to Aviation, Aerospace and Global Business; Trends and Current Issues in Commercial Air Transport; and Airline Management. Adjunct faculty prepare syllabi and instruction materials, coordinates class sessions and develop assessments of the performance of their students.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on learning activities tailored to aviation and business contexts.
  • Prepare syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments that meet academic standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate class sessions that promote active student involvement.
  • Develop and evaluate student performance in alignment with course objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in aviation management, business administration, or a closely related field.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sensitivity to academic and cultural diversity.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using classroom technologies, online resources, and computer applications.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in aviation or business-related subjects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in aviation management or a related field.
  • Experience designing and delivering courses that combine aviation and business principles.
  • A commitment to fostering student success in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
