Frontend Software Engineer III

About Team:

The team works on the product which is a search engine and analytics platform for researchers, including academicians, research organizations, and international bodies like the UNDP, providing research data and analytics capabilities.

About Role:

This position performs research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications delivering high-quality user experiences.
  • Implement features with precision, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques into the codebase while managing technical debt effectively.
  • Mentor and train fellow frontend engineers to foster growth and learning.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, backend developers, and testers to deliver innovative features that meet business needs.
  • Write clear, detailed technical specifications and documentation for system components.
  • Participate actively in Agile processes such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex coding challenges, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Maintain attention to UI/UX details to ensure consistent quality.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required


TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for scalable, robust applications.
  • Experience with modern frameworks like ReactJS or Vue, especially in large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or other E2E testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay current with industry trends.• Good oral and written communication skills.
