Position Brand Description:

The Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) Organization, part of Corporate Engineering and Health & Safety, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the world.  Our mission is accomplished through a highly leveraged organization of design, construction and qualification contractors.  Many of the assets delivered focus on medical innovation and delivering innovative solutions to patients.  Some of the assets delivered will support an expansion or recapitalization in supply of existing medicines or making the supply chain more robust. 

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Administrative:  Manage a staff of exempt level employees performing tasks such as: ePMs, Development Plans, staffing and planning models, workload assignments and compensation reviews. Manage departmental expenses for cost center.

Compliance:  Throughout the project lifecycle influence project execution to remain in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures: FRAP, CPDM, GQS/EFS/EDS.  Safety/Environmental, Regulatory, and applicable Government regulations.

Safety/Environment:  Influence on creating and maintain the safety culture within the Lilly staff and the design and construction resources they use to execute work. Actively engage in safety/environmental event reviews and corrective actions.

Divisional Leadership:  participate in GFD Leadership activities – weekly lead teams, quarterly divisional meetings, staff administration, improvement teams and divisional team building activities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science - Engineering or field related to project management
  • Experience leading Engineering teams 
  • Project Management Experience
  • Able to obtain a valid Passport.
  • Experience with Asset Delivery
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting

    Additional Preferences:

    • Knowledge in any of these business areas and processes:  Quality systems, Insulin/API and Fill/Finish operations, Device assembly and packaging operations.
    • Knowledge of, and experience in, the application of GFD Policies and Procedures on major capital investments.
    • Proficient with Capital Investment Decision Modeling (CIDM) tool and Capital Investments request (eCIR)
    • Competency in a foreign language(s)
    • Passed experience in working and/or living outside the U.S
    • Demonstrated willingness to embrace the concept of continuous improvement and be an agent for change.
    • The capacity to achieve results through people is critical and ability to influence personnel and organizations without having direct authority.
    • The ability to facilitate issue resolution, anticipate changes, plan ahead, and implement with quality speed and value, are particularly important.
    • Effective communication skills with ability to build strong interfaces with a broad spectrum of personnel at all levels of the organizations - Lilly and external partners.

    Other Information:

    International travel is likely in this role including weekends and multi-week stays. Travel of approximately 15% to 30% away from home

    Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

    $151,500 - $222,200

    Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
