About this role
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Drilling Operator to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.
This role is based in Kaki Bukit, Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in operating drilling rig and perform drilling process safely and efficiently
- Consistent in collecting good quality soil and rock samples
- Able to assist geologist to conduct in-situ soil testing
- Able to carry out drilling and installation of borehole instruments such as water stand pipe, piezometer and inclinometer
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks o ensure rig is in good working condition at all times
- Practice workplace safety and always follow the safe work procedures
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on job & sound mechanical bias
- Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is an advantage
- Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous
- An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
- Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
- Excellent attention to detail & strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team player attitude & excellent analytical and problem solving skills
