Role overview

The Account Manager is responsible for defining and executing upon a sales strategy that leverages the strong market position of Elekta to drive large, strategic sales of Elekta  Products, services and solutions and position Elekta as a preferred partner for the customer. He/She will act as an intermediate between the market and the internal Elekta organization. The Account Manager will be responsible together with his/her sales team for maximizing order intake ( forecast accuracy), sales, price realization and customer satisfaction (NPS) whilst developing and optimizing the customer relationship in order to ensure the long-term profitability in the Netherlands. To work close together with your sales team ( back office, services and product specialist) you are able to lead the way and give the best possible advice to our customers. This role will involve extensive travel within the Netherlands with occasional attendance at evening and weekend events and overseas travel.

Role responsibilities

-  Accountable for maximizing order intake, sales and price realization at the assigned account in the district

- Ensure continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operate at multiple levels in the account's organizations

- Take te lead during tender processes and service as a key contact for the customer together with the Sales Director

- Contribute to the development and implementation of local marketing strategies

Ensure that all customers are provided with high quality care and attention throughout the sales process, so that each customer is fully satisfied with the support of Elekta

- Responsible for filling the sales funnel management tool (CLM) and systematically analyzing winn & loss deals, expectations, customer satisfaction (NPS), market, competition and trends

- Responsible for the sales forecast at the assigned accounts together with Sales back office and sales service

- You will make sure, that product knowledge will be up to date at all time and have a good understanding of the different Elekta business strategies to ensure the right approach with our customers

- Be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, opportunities and contact information in the Elekta CLM system in cooporation with the sales back office

- Coordinate all internal necessary resources to obtain objectives and involve others where necessary

- You will diagnose and advice customer issues regarding Elekta products, system configurations and total solutions in cooperation with the product specialist and sales back office

- Be responsible for the completion and delivery of tender responses

- Ensure that completed quotations are based on a solution/ configuration compliant to specifications validated by the Business and it is properly reviewed for feasability and accuracy prior to being issued

-  You will attend and represent Elekta at conferences, symposiums, shows and other events; this may include incidental weekend work as required

- Determine Price proposals

- Set the baseline for the yearly P&L

- Be the voice of the Dutch Customer in internal meetings

What you bring

- Educated to Bachelor (MBRT) or Master degree level you will ideally have had experience gained within a medical sales environment

- Ideally, you have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a commercial, sales or account management role, preferably in Radiotherapy ( and experience in closing large, complex, strategic deals).

- Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships with multi-disciplinairy professions at al levels of authority

- Familiarity/proficiency with IT-tools including the following software: Word, Excel, Powerpoint

- Ability to travel 50-70% within the Netherlands

- Native Dutch speaking with fluency in English, verbal and written.
