What you’ll do:
As a Sr Product Development Engineer you will work within the Air Care segment, and will be responsible to manage, develop, implement and optimize projects, modules within PD Process and project management system according Electrolux guidelines.
In detail, you will:
- Release technical documentation inside PLM-System (Teamcenter)
- Responsible for ECR (Engineering Change Request , Engineering Change Notice and Article Acceptance)
- Ensure, that all requirements (technical specification, functionality, reliability, manufacturability, environmental impact, safety, ...) are taken into account during the development phase
- Respecting project targets (time, cost, quality) by working in project teams
- Support DVT (Design Verification Test) and MVT (Manufacturing Verification Test) together with the factories and project teams
- Coordinate the approval with prototyping, performance and quality verification together with the laboratory teams.
- Assist during the introduction of new components and assemblies in the production area (incl. Ramp-Up of new models)
- Prepare information for BOM creation (ANC-allocation; PNC-Design-BOM)
- Using preventive quality tools (FMEA, DFA, PSRA, Tolerance Chain Analysis, ...) to secure a robust design
- Sample building during the development process (in alignment with the supplier)
- Provide technical support to the factories to reduce the reduction of re-work, improve productivity (where applicable)
- Secure a modular component development by using Module Area Books, Architecture Books,
Modular catalogues and Platform toolboxes
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education background
- Good understanding of engineering, manufacturing and assembly principals
- Good knowledge of quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, Tolerance analysis tools)
- Awareness of ISO 9001 Quality Management
- Awareness of ISO 14001 Environmental Management
- Basic knowledge of safety (electrical and gas)
- Experience with home appliances is a plus
- Experience of working in a multicultural, international environment
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to change. Flexible and creative in taking initiative and providing solutions to deliver a business outcome. Enjoying working in a fast-paced environment and resistant to stress
- Fluent English
Where you’ll be:
You will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year. Benefits include:
