We are looking for an Agentic DevEx Engineer with 5+ years of experience to organize our codebase and structure our systems in such a way that AI agents can maximize their throughput and efficiency. This is a rare role at the intersection of Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, and AI, where you will be responsible for transforming how humans and agents work together at Ekho. We need a systems-minded engineer who owns the infrastructure, standards, and tooling that make AI agents effective collaborators in our codebase. You will report directly to the CTO and have significant autonomy to shape how Ekho builds software for the next decade.
What will you be doing?
- Define and enforce architectural boundaries and build reproducible development environments for both humans and agents.
- Own and improve agent instructions (e.g., AGENTS.MD/CLAUDE.MD) to improve agent accuracy and design deterministic workflows for how agents execute changes.
- Codify and enforce engineering standards through linters and improve the automated review layer to catch misalignments before human review.
- Define work modeling standards and build canonical workflows for common tasks (bugfix, feature, refactor) that engineers follow with agent assistance.
- Drive adoption of new tools and workflows by training the team, creating demos, and evangelizing best practices for human-agent collaboration.
