We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and delivering complex projects within the electricity distribution and transmission industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.

• Design, plan, and execute large-scale electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Conduct thorough site investigations and develop comprehensive engineering solutions and designs
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and resources effectively
• Prepare detailed cost proposals, quotations, and validated estimates for project offers
• Oversee equipment specification, procurement, and supplier/contractor interfaces
• Review and approve designs, submissions, and tenders from various stakeholders
• Ensure project delivery meets quality, safety, and environmental standards
• Conduct regular project audits and site inspections to maintain high-quality standards
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred); HNC or equivalent qualifications will be considered
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electricity distribution and/or transmission industry, with a proven track record in project engineering
• Demonstrated experience managing major projects and high-volume workstreams, including responsibility for projects valued in excess of $5 million
• Strong technical knowledge across all distribution asset classes (cables, overhead lines, substations, and civil works)
• Expertise in managing projects from low voltage up to and including 66kV systems
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and software tools
• NEBOSH certification or equivalent qualification in safety management
• Experience working on CDM (Construction Design and Management) notifiable projects
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse project teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to work
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards in the UAE electrical sector (preferred)
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
