Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with site supervision capabilities to join our team in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for managing costs and overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects
  • Conduct on-site measurements and valuations of work completed
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and forecast costs
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare tender and contract documents
  • Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues on-site
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare regular progress reports and financial statements
  • Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
  • Conduct final account settlements and assist in dispute resolution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with proven site supervision experience
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts
  • Familiarity with Kuwait's construction industry and local regulations
  • Experience in cost estimation, cost control, and procurement processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
