Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team, based in Melbourne.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining work from home days and in-office collaboration.

We are looking for a candidate who is not only willing and eager to learn but also takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of self-motivation. This role will assist the Payroll team in delivering our ANZ Payroll and will be dedicated to efficient and effective payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the payroll team in end-to-end payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand
  • Work flexibly with the New Zealand time zone when required.
  • Use Excel extensively for payroll analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support payroll improvements, system enhancements and process efficiencies.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and effectively communicate with stakeholders across various departments.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience processing both Australian and New Zealand payroll.
  • Strong working knowledge of ANZ payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Definitiv experience highly desired.
  • MYOB experience.
  • Sound understanding of award interpretations.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional initiative-taking and self-motivation skills.
