Role

The role covers a range of responsibilities within the Strategic Planning and Transformation team at the Headquarter of EFG International, based in Switzerland. This role requires a strong background in banking, as well as experience in project management and stakeholder management. More specifically the duties and responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business units to ensure the achievement and delivery of strategic targets, aligning initiatives with overall organizational goals
  • Responsible for project management of Strategic Planning and Transformation IT-based tools, ensuring the translation of business requirements into solutions that drive efficient and effective delivery across the organization;
  • Responsible for the maintenance and development of the CRO model and the calculation of CRO Bonus provisions, working closely with regional and local controllers, managing stakeholder relationships, and facilitating communication with the Remuneration Committee; 
  • Support the Asset and Liability Committee in addressing key topics related to Net Interest Income, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning;
  • Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and growth initiatives by providing financial analysis, due diligence, and strategic input to drive successful outcomes.
     
  • Special tasks:
    • Supporting the Group-wide cost transformation program as the finance lead on critical group wide initiatives to enhance global efficiency which includes preparation of information and insights on project performance and communicating risks and opportunities to senior management.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field;
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA or CFA;
  • At least 10 years of experience in a financial institution;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and this must include strong PowerPoint, excel and word;
  • Strong analytical data skills and experience working with large datasets;
  • Strong analytical abilities, and sound judgement based on in-depth experience;
  • Capable of analysing an as-is situation, development of a gap analysis, and definition of target state;
  • Ability to interact well with all areas of the bank in all Locations, and all levels of seniority;
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;
  • English is a must; ability to speak French, German and/or Italian is considered as a plus
