Senior Risk Analyst

<p><span><strong>Role Overview:</strong></span></p><p><span>The Senior Risk Analyst provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, training and development to direct subordinates, ensuring that they meet departmental objectives.</span></p><p><span>This role also supports the Head of GIRM in driving efficient operations and maintaining gaming integrity and risk management at the forefront of the industry.</span></p><p><span><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Ensure that Risk Analyst team operates with high standards, meets set objectives and direct subordinates understands and follows the policies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide support, guidance, and assistance to direct reports in all areas of their responsibilities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Plan, monitor, and evaluate staff performance, while mentoring and fostering professional development, as well as prepare, maintain and deliver internal training for direct subordinates.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive operational efficiency by identifying and removing unnecessary complexity in department processes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manage resources effectively to deliver optimal solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Handle administrative tasks, including reviewing and approving schedule change requests from direct subordinates.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in maintaining and updating departmental documents and manuals to ensure the GIRM team uses current and accurate documentation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support technical investigations and risk assessment verifications, including major or critical incidents.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Communicate with operators and relevant authorities as needed.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist the manager in facilitating smooth operations and ongoing development of the department.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide coverage for colleagues during vacations, sick leave, and other absences.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Specialized knowledge in gaming security, risk and fraud management is required.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Previous experience in a mentoring or managerial role is essential.</span></p></li><li><p><span>In-depth understanding of in-house gaming procedures, as well as the department’s internal functions and processes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Mathematically minded, combined with forward-thinking, self-driven, and quick-learning attributes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Higher education.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>What’s in it for you on site in Malta?</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Experience a dynamic and team-orientated work environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Opportunities for personal growth and learning.</span></p></li><li><p><span>An open, inclusive and supportive team where you will be valued, and your suggestions will be welcome.</span></p></li><li><p><span>24 days paid holiday per year.
