Summary:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English to join our vibrant academic community. This role is essential in nurturing students’ language proficiency, critical thinking, and literary appreciation at the senior secondary level. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of English literature, grammar, and communication skills, coupled with a passion for innovative and student-centered teaching. As a PGT English teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for board examinations, enhancing their written and verbal expression, and fostering a lifelong love for reading and language. Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons that promote reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in line with CBSE/ICSE/state board standards.
- Design and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials tailored to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Facilitate interactive classroom discussions, creative writing exercises, and literary analysis to develop critical thinking and expression.
- Conduct regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support students through targeted interventions for academic improvement.
- Prepare students for board examinations, competitive exams, and language proficiency assessments with structured guidance and resources.
- Collaborate with the academic team to review curricula, adopt modern pedagogical practices, and participate in professional development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress.
- Actively engage in parent-teacher meetings and contribute to school events, literary festivals, debates, and other English language enrichment activities.
- Stay current with developments in language education, literature, and digital teaching tools.
Requirements
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in English with a Post Graduate (PG) qualification (M.A. in English or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Valid B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification with specialization in English or Humanities.
- 3–5 years of proven experience as a PGT English teacher in a reputable school.
- Strong command of English grammar, literature (prose, poetry, drama), and language teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in using digital tools, multimedia resources, and learning management systems for effective instruction.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire students, create an inclusive learning environment, and encourage creative expression.
- Willingness to participate in workshops, curriculum reviews, and school-based academic initiatives.
