Job Description 

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the [add program nameprogram. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the [Dean/Director] of EducationAs the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours.  

 

The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department. 

 

Requirements 

  • Completion of an accredited Massage Therapy program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree preferred  
  • A bachelor degree in any discipline is required
  • Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.   
  • Ability to provide effective direction and leadership, and work effectively and collaboratively with others. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Massage Therapist
  • Prior higher education/postsecondary-related teaching experience of at least 2 years; preferably in the private for-profit industry
  • Appropriate licenses and/or certifications:
    • Licensed Massage Therapist in VA
    • BCTMB is not required but desired
