Frontline Technical Support Engineer (Shifts)
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Team: Service Operations
Schedule: Shift patterns
Salary: £32,400 * (Inclusive of shift allowance)

As a Frontline Technical Support Engineer, you'll be the first responder when systems blink, alerts fire, or incidents arise. Whether you're diving into logs, restoring services, or preventing outages before they happen - you're not just supporting tech, you're keeping businesses running.

What you’ll do

  • Take immediate action on system alerts and support tickets to minimise downtime

  • Implement system changes safely within strict change controls

  • Lead or support Major Incident Management - including incident coordination and comms

  • Investigate root causes, spot trends, and recommend service improvements

  • Keep accurate records and audit trails using ticketing tools

  • Proactively monitor system health and performance

Share knowledge and help upskill your team

What you’ll bring


Must-haves:

  • A problem-solver's mindset with a strong sense of ownership

  • Proficiency in SQL (complex queries)  and/or Unix (command-line competence)

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills

  • Fluent in English with solid Microsoft Office skills

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with tools like AppDynamics, Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie, Citrix

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field
