Role Overview

The Paid Media Executive position requires collaboration within an integrated agency team to execute audience-led paid media campaigns and strategies across social platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure campaigns are set up and managed to a high standard, report results clearly with actionable recommendations, and present with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage and optimise paid media campaigns across self-serve platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Snapchat, TikTok and other emerging platforms.
  • Understand client goals and translate them into effective paid media campaign setups.
  • Maintain and optimise client campaigns to maximise performance against agreed KPIs through data-driven decisions.
  • Brainstorm and research audience and targeting strategies for specific campaigns.
  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for internal account teams and, when appropriate, external vendors; address account team, vendor and client issues thoughtfully and effectively.
  • Track the operational performance of multiple accounts, ensuring quality of work, deadline adherence and budget control.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance on a regular (daily/weekly/monthly) and ad-hoc basis, providing clear insights and recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of platform updates and industry news (e.g. key social media platform updates).
  • Collaborate closely with account teams, strategy and analytics teams to ensure campaigns are cohesive and aligned to overall communication objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience in planning and buying paid social and/or digital media (agency or in-house).
  • Proven track record of analysing paid media performance and developing and implementing optimisation recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint (comfortable building reports and presentations).
  • Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines and assignments, and to manage multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Media or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Self-starter, energised by problem-solving, who excels in a collaborative team environment and proactively offers suggestions to build, shape and improve processes.
  • Strong analytical abilities and comfort working with data to inform decisions.
  • Understanding of programmatic, paid search and SEO fundamentals is a plus.
  • Experience with Google tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, Looker Studio and Search Console is a plus.
  • Proficient in English; German is a plus.
