Responsibilities
ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for a Building Enclosure Associate III to join our Mid-Atlantic Facilities team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you’ll work on projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.
- Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
Management of projects including but not limited to:
Inspections of building enclosures
Building Enclosure Testing
Building Enclosure Assessments
Air Leakage Testing
Construction Quality Assurance Observations
Roofing Assessments
Design Specification Review
Field Performance Testing
Building Enclosure commissioning consulting
- Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
- Occasional field and laboratory testing
- Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
- Preparing reports and proposals
- Maintaining and develop a client database
- Managing budgets and prepare invoices
- Mentoring other staff
- Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE
Qualifications
- B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
- 2+ years of relevant building enclosure consulting experience required
- IIBEC certified RRO, RRC, REWO, REWC, RBEC are encouraged to apply
