About this role

Ecolab’s Healthcare division is seeking a Divisional Scientist to join our Melbourne-based team. This is a key technical and customer‑facing role supporting the development and launch of innovative healthcare solutions across the region.

As a Divisional Scientist, you will work cross‑functionally with R&D, Marketing, Regulatory and Supply Chain to help design, adapt, product test and deliver new products and programs that drive growth and value for our customers. You will also partner closely with our field sales and service teams to support post‑launch activity, provide subject matter expertise, and lead the successful implementation of new programs in the market.

Our R&D team continues to strive to develop new product ideas that will benefit our extensive customer base in the Healthcare sector. 

In this hands-on role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with a small team of scientists supporting our Healthcare business unit

  • Providing customer facing technical support

  • Managing a portfolio of innovation projects, ensuring technical deliverables are on schedule and budget, with a focus on field testing and technology deployment.

  • Acting as the business partner for our Healthcare sales team regarding technical support and in-line product maintenance on-site.

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, chemical or mechanical engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline

  • The desire to deliver new products to market within a commercial product development environment

  • Innovation pipeline management would be highly regarded

  • Excellent end to end project management skills

  • Good attention to detail, consistent follow through and reliable documentation skills.

  • A strategic innovative thinker
