Job Overview

Welcome to Oak Meadows, located in beautiful Oakdale, MN!  From our spectacular senior living campus to our dedicated staff, we are committed to delivering excellent care, engaging activities, and a strong community for our elderly assisted living/memory care residents.

 

The Driver is responsible for driving the bus/van for purposes of providing and addressing the transportation needs of the Ebenezer Community, individual, and group transportation.


Responsibilities

  • Productivity and Initiative
  • Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period.
  • Organizes work assignments.
  • Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers.
  • Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle.
  • Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies.
  • Dependability
  • Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties.
  • Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Functions effectively with limited direct supervision.
  • Safety and Health
  • Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers.
  • Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services.
  • Knows and practices infection control procedures.
  • Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures.
  • Knows and practices safety procedures.
  • Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents.
  • Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Participant/Resident Care
  • Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights.
  • Provides assistance to all participants and residents, as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • less than 1 year
  • Driver's License (in good standing)
  • Medical Exam Certification
  • Must be insurable under the employer's Auto Insurance Coverage
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must complete and pass the in-house transportation curriculum course and pass the driving evaluation. within 30 Days

This position offers a flat rate within the specified compensation range. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
