Amira Choice of Roseville on Cleveland is a beautiful, well-designed senior living community that offers the highest level of distinction for our residents. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Our community is adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN and is near public transportation making it a convenient location for our employees. Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our Assisted Living team at Amira Choice Roseville Cleveland Senior Living. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. Culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Roseville, MN.
This flexible schedule culinary services position includes;
- 80 hours per pay period
- Days and early evenings
- Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
- Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
- Set up line service
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
- Assists with special events
- Assists Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
- Performs other duties as assigned and directed
Required:
- ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
- Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
- Must have good problem solving and time leadership skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred:
- Vocational/technical training/education/degree
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Cooking experience in a similar environment
- Scratch cooking experience

What you'll do
- The Cook/Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking meals using standardized recipes and ensuring high culinary standards. Additional duties include food safety, meal service, and assisting with special events.
