About eBay Live

eBay Live is changing the way people shop — bringing entertainment, community, and trust into real-time commerce. Sellers stream, chat, and sell directly to buyers across categories from collectibles to fashion and luxury goods. It’s fast, data-driven, and built like a startup within eBay.

We’re looking for an ambitious Category Manager to support the growth of one of eBay Live’s key verticals. In this role, you’ll help complete category strategy, support seller performance, and contribute to programming that connects content, commerce, and community.

You’ll engage with multiple functions including Product, Business Development, Marketing, Programming, and Customer Services to reach category objectives. This role integrates analytics, operational activity, and teamwork, serving as an essential part of growing live commerce.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Support GMV growth and seller performance for your category by tracking important metrics, monitoring results, and optimizing programs.
  • Manage and support a portfolio of sellers, including performance tracking, day-to-day mentorship, and quality checks.
  • Help plan and complete category programming, such as themed live events, to drive engagement and retention.
  • Work together with Business Development, Marketing, and Programming groups to coordinate inventory availability, visibility, and implementation priorities.
  • Support the management of category-level incentives and promotions, tracking performance and return on investment.
  • Use dashboards, market insights, and competitor trends to analyze performance and surface opportunities or risks.
  • Prepare inputs and insights for category reviews and broader business updates.

What You Will Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in category management, e-commerce, marketplace operations, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience supporting seller or merchant portfolios and contributing to growth initiatives.
  • Solid analytical skills, with experience using data tools such as Tableau or similar.
  • Clear, structured communicator with strong collaboration skills.
  • Interest in creators, live shopping, and commerce centered around user engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with room to learn and grow.
