Lead and manage daily laboratory operations to achieve high safety standards and operational efficiency. Build and enhance comprehensive testing capabilities for ERL China. Plan, set up, and execute experiments, including test planning, design of experiments (DoE), and data analysis. Oversee test setups and execution, especially for power electronics products. Develop and maintain testing procedures and documentation. Conduct routine safety checks and maintain accurate records. Liaise with project teams to align lab activities with project plans and timelines. Adapt lab facilities to meet evolving project needs, leveraging global and external resources. Support additional tasks as assigned by management. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred). Minimum 5 years' experience in R&D or engineering laboratories (or 3+ years with a Master's degree). Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics and technical manuals. Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, including three-phase AC and hands-on experience with 220V/380V systems. Experience with basic lab instruments (oscilloscope, power analyzer, data acquisition systems, power supplies, etc.). Knowledge of laboratory quality and safety requirements. Experience in medium voltage testing and lab management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic English communication skills (able to write work emails and participate in conference calls). Experience with electric motor testbeds, EV inverter setups, or UPS testing. Electrician license. Demonstrates integrity, transparency, and trustworthiness. Culturally aware and able to adapt communication style for global audiences. Self-driven, goal-oriented, and collaborative team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to engage with all levels, including senior management. Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
