The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure optimized designs meet performance needs and can be manufactured efficiently. It requires strong programming and analytical skills, engineering expertise, and experience in computational design optimization. In this role you will: Understand core/coil construction requirements and apply this knowledge to develop improved rules, designs, and product configurations. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost‑out initiatives. Implement innovative programming and optimization solutions to enhance design accuracy and efficiency. Deliver accurate, on‑time manufacturing and design information that meets customer and industry requirements. Manage design activities while continuously expanding product knowledge and integrating optimization methods into the design process. Bachelor's Degree with technical design or support experience with electromechanical products. Ten (10) years of experience with electromechanical systems or products Two (2) years of experience developing design and/or optimizing programs - electrical products preferred Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that live outside a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI. Experience on any CAD tool like Inventor, AutoCAD Knowledge of standard industry drafting/modeling practices Experience with custom engineering design and processes is desired Experience in creating, loading, and/or storing design data within an ERP system, preferably SAP, is desired Knowledge of power systems, distribution/power transformer products/applications, and/or industrial automation/controls is desired Ability to excel as a team player by successfully collaborating with engineering peers as well as cross-functional personnel to ensure custom designs meet customer expectations Demonstrated strong skills on following competencies: Priority Setting, Decision Quality, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, Customer Focus, Ethics and Values, Integrity and Trust, Drive for Results, Technical Learning.
