What the role will entail
- Lead stakeholder engagement and project planning to deliver data solutions aligned with business goals
- Partner with data science, business intelligence (BI), and cross-functional teams to apply insights
- Build scalable data lakes, warehouses, and extract, transform, load/extract, load, transform (ETL/ELT) pipelines using Structured Query Language (SQL) and cloud tools
- Automate workflows and optimize infrastructure for advanced analytics
- Ensure data quality through checks, architecture oversight, and pipeline maintenance
- Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any related field
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer with proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Structured Query Language (SQL)/non-relational (NoSQL) databases, and scripting languages (Python, Java, C++, Scala)
- Background in building data pipelines and stream-processing systems
- Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Structured Query Language (SQL), and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
- Ability to use tools such as Apache Airflow and Azkaban, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with a problem-solving mindset and passion for innovation
