Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles including box trucks and transfer vehicles
Provide on-call coverage for assigned routes as needed
Load and unload products using hand carts, pallet jacks, lift gates, and dollies
Follow delivery schedules and dispatcher instructions
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain required logs
Complete basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly
Accurately use electronic dispatching and delivery software
Maintain professional communication with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers
Collect returns and ensure proper documentation
Comply with all EAPW policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards
Attend quarterly Driver Safety Meetings
Support EAPW’s mission, vision, and core values
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Responsible for the timely and accurate distribution needs of the company. The Driver will make an average of eight stops per day delivering auto parts to outlying wholesale distribution facilities. Delivery area includes Southern NJ and Bucks County PA. Responsibilities include safe operation of vehicle, vehicle maintenance, and loading and unloading trucks in an efficient manner. Driver must be physically able to utilize hand carts, lift gates and pallet jacks.
Minimum Requirements
• Drivers of vehicles are required to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• A valid Class B Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record that meets EAPW requirements to drive company vehicles.
• Current Medical Certification Card or ability to obtain a card.
• CDL Class B Driving experience with 2+ years Straight Truck Route Delivery experience preferred
• Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment physical with drug screen
• Ability to fully understand job requirements
• Must possess interpersonal skills, organization skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).
