About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oncology/Haematology registered nurse to provide care for Eastern Health patients outside hospital walls. 

You will be providing care in the patient's home, via telehealth and within the HITH Oncology clinic at Box Hill Hospital. 

  

The position requires you to be an enthusiastic team player, who is highly resourceful, has strong time management and excellent communication skills, experience in assessment, interdisciplinary care provision and the ability to assist in discharge planning for this patient population.

About you 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oncology/Haematology registered nurse to provide care for Eastern Health patients outside hospital walls. 

You will be providing care in the patient's home, via telehealth and within the HITH Oncology clinic at Box Hill Hospital. 

  

The position requires you to be an enthusiastic team player, who is highly resourceful, has strong time management and excellent communication skills, experience in assessment, interdisciplinary care provision and the ability to assist in discharge plannning for this patient population.

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA  
  • Current Victorian Drivers License - without restriction 
  • Minimum 5 years acute oncology/haematology post registration nursing experience 
  • Current completion of ADAC modules 
  • Current working With Children Check
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-direction 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
